Big Pants Theatre Productions present PICNIC ON THE BATTLEFIELD

Big Pants Theatre Productions is a newly established Brighton Based Theatre Company, producing contemporary plays for Brighton theatre goers who enjoy a pint and a play.

Big Pants Theatre Productions
present: PICNIC ON THE BATTLEFIELD written by Fernando Arrabal, Directed by Alan Perrin.

Set Amidst a battle. During a lull in the fighting at the front, soldier Zapo gets a surprise visit from his parents who have decided to cheer him up with a picnic. Whilst bombs burst around them, the family makes a madcap picnic, joined by an enemy whom their son has captured.

A series of comic situations highlights the family's impossible encounter with the Other as we see the ultimate absurdity of war.

After a successful, sell out inaugural production of 'Blue Remembered Hills', Big Pants Theatre Productions return with another piece of no frills, honest theatre.

"Tonight's production of 'Blue Remembered Hills' was funny and beautifully acted. The stage was full of action and childlike excitement- not a dull moment"
